The Chicago quartet Tekulvi is comprised of Chris Almodovar (guitar/vocals), Phil Naumann (guitar), Greg Sharp (drums), and Brian Harper (bass). Brian Harper was later replaced by Josh Browning on bass. Originally formed as a trio in 1998, Tekulvi was a quartet by late '99. With a sound comparable to the jagged and discordant rock that Fugazi has specialized in for years, Tekulvi debuted in '99, with the single "Tetrahedron/Pugilistica." The band issued their inaugural full-length, Who Knows Where We Are, in July 2000 on their own Camel Clutch label, promoting the album with live dates in the Midwest and East Coast. In April of 2001, the Loose Thread label re-issued Who Knows Where We Are. In 2002 Tekulvi released their EP, In Recognition of Your Significant Accomplishments on the Chicago label, Divot Records. The band had parted ways by 2003. In 2025, Tekulvi partnered with Expert Work Records, to do a vinyl release of their last EP, In Recognition of Your Significant Accomplishments and give it a proper vinyl release, adding two previously unreleased songs
