Tracks 1 to 6 recorded in stereo at the Berlin Jazzstage Berlin Philharmonie, on November 2, 1973, featuring an octet plus vocalist Tony Watkins, who is not on this CD. This was the concert that Duke Ellington abruptly ended after 20 minutes because of booing and unruly behavior of the audience, which was unhappy with Watkins' vocal performance.
