British band DARK HEART released their debut album, "Shadows Of The Night," in 1984 before falling into a decades-long slumber. Their melodic hard rock, brimming with catchy tunes, only occasionally hints at the NWOBHM of their earlier days. Frontman and sole remaining original member Alan Clark, known from the melodic/AOR band CHANGE OF HEART, with whom he released four albums, impresses with strong songwriting and expressive vocals. "Spread Your Wing" breathes this DNA and is reminiscent of bands like NEWMAN. The album is produced by Pete Newdeck and mastered by Harry Hess (HAREM SCAREM).
