CD states VOLUME TWO but cover uses vol. 2.
Recorded at WOR Studios, New York City on July 23, 1951 (#1-9) and May 30, 1952 (#10-18).
All transfers from the original lacquer discs (#1-9) and the original analog tapes (#10-18) to digital were made at 24 bit resolution.
These are mono recordings.
The cover of this CD uses the artwork from the original Blue Note 10" LP release. All titles have previously been issued on CD 81511 using the 12" LP cover art.
Because this CD does not conform in content to the original 12" LP, we have not included the original liner notes. The original LP mixed various sessions in incomplete form. This CD reissue presents the music of each session as it was recorded and in complete form.
