This release contains two complete albums showcasing the incomparable talents of alto saxophonist Art Pepper in a quartet setting : "Art Pepper meets the Rhythm Section (Contemporary S7532)", featuring Miles Davis' legendary rhythm section of Red Garland, Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones, and "The Marty Paich Quartet featuring Art Pepper (Tampa T1014)". The first of these LPs was a jazz landmark with regard to the impeccable to the audiophile sound quality.
