All images and track titles are taken from a notebook that belonged to my Grandfather, George Begg. He worked as an engineer in the North of England and died soon after I was born in 1972. Si Begg.
Your Grandfather had a rich life. Prefessionally his engineering career began in the heyday of steam and ended with the dawn of computers. But he was also a talented amateur musician and loved the outdoors. Key to his personality was his quiet determination to rise from his relatively ordinary upbringing, to be a highly respected figure in his proffesion.
