“Da Capo” is the second studio album by the American rock band Love, originally released in November 1966 by Elektra Records. It is considered one of the early forays into psychedelic rock, blending elements of baroque pop, jazz, garage rock, and proto-progressive rock. The album showcases Love's experimentation and genre fusion, moving beyond the folk-rock of their debut album. “Da Capo” includes the single “Seven and Seven Is,” which was a minor hit and became one of Love’s best-know songs―a true classic in the garage rock genre.
The album’s A-side consists of six shorter songs blending rock, jazz, and baroque pop, whereas Side B features a single 19-minutes-long jam session with extended solos and improvisation―a track that remains divisive among listeners.
